It tells the dramatic story of the Speculator Mine disaster that happened in Butte\, MT one hundred years ago   the largest such disaster in American history. The book won the 2018 High Plains Book Award in creative nonfiction. \n\n\n\nThis Author Talk is presented in collaboration with our community parter - Coeur d'Alene Public Library.
