Each STEAM Lab session will be focused on a specific topic targeting a particular age group. These daylong workshops are for various age groups and ability levels. They will be offered free of charge at the University of Idaho Harbor Center Campus in Coeur d'Alene.\n\n \n\nJuly 24 - Maps\, Apps\, and Adventure!\, Grades 6-8\, 8:30am-4:00pm\n\nTravel through the beautiful world of maps where art meets geometry and can turn into adventure. Explore the design\, meaning\, and application of maps through group activities. Learn how to make a contour map and a projection map. Explore online and digital apps for mapping. Participants are encouraged to bring their smartphones (if they have one) and be able to download free mapping and geocaching apps. Using the mobile device go on a geocaching adventure!
