Dating can be expensive and time consuming. If you go on a date with dinner and a movie and you realize 10 minutes in that you don't connect with the other person, that is going to be a long night and a lot of money spent for no reason.

The nice part of speed dating is that you don't need to spend hours with someone to see if you have a connection and you dont need to come up with an excuse of why you don't want to hang out with the other person either.

So here is what happens.

Cocktail of choice included. Cash bar available after initial drink.

Ladies sit on one side and men sit across. Timer goes off.
You have 3 minutes to chat.
Once timer is done, ladies stay put, and men move down one spot.
Everyone has a ballot and everyone wears a badge with a number on it, instead of a name.
So at each interaction, you write on your ballot the badge # of who you are talking to and then circle YES or NO if you'd like to get to know that person more or not.

If you circle YES and the same person circled YES for you...this is called a MATCH.

All of your matches are then emailed to you the following day with their contact info. Then its up to the individuals to contact each other from there. But knowing there is an initial spark is absolutely wonderful.
