Professional Land Surveyor (PLS)

About the Role:
We are looking for a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) to join our team! This position offers a broad range of surveying and project management responsibilities in providing support for your assigned Partners, Project Managers, and respective clients. This position requires a display of skills including attention to detail, communication, collaboration, decision-making, problem solving and the ability to balance multiple project functions.

This is a full-time position. Generally, it will be a 40-hour, 5-day work week, however, work outside of these times may be necessary on a project specific basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Idaho survey standards and Idaho Revised and Administrative Codes.
  • Assist field crews and supervise project work.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Federal Public Lands Survey System
  • Possess excellent rapport with management and co-workers, positive can-do attitude, excellent customer service, marketing, and people skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of boundary principles and applicable laws and statutes
  • Thorough knowledge of principles and practices of Land Surveying
  • Use and knowledge of Civil3D
  • Possess field experience in all types of physical land surveying: Boundary, Topo, Construction Staking, ALTA, Control networks, GPS, Residential, Subdivision, etc.
  • Work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Recognize opportunities to improve workflow and act on them
  • Mentor junior personnel in survey practices and procedures.
  • Be mindful with sensitive and confidential information.

Qualifications:

  • Current Idaho Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license – multi state preferred
  • 7 years field/office surveying experience in land development and construction projects preferred
  • Land development project experience
  • Conscientious about workload, performing duties thoroughly
  • Valid Idaho driver’s license including a clean driving record and ability to meet company insurance requirements
  • High-level proficiency in computer software program related activities such as Microsoft Office programs and other programs
  • Self-motivated, hardworking, highly ethical, trustworthy, and dependable
  • Detail-oriented, organized, multi-tasking and good follow-through skills
  • Excellent stress management, time management skills, and the ability to recognize and solve complicated problems
