About Us
Kootenai Health offers a comprehensive array of medical services to patients across northern Idaho and the Inland Northwest. Its main campus, located in Coeur d’Alene, includes a 397-bed, independent, not-for-profit hospital. Accredited by DNV and distinguished with Magnet Designation for nursing excellence, Kootenai Health is regionally recognized for specialties such as cardiac care, orthopedics, oncology, emergency services, women's and children's care, and behavioral health.
The hospital is a verified Level II Trauma Center, operates a Level III NICU, and ranks among the top 10 percent nationally for cardiac surgery.
