Description
Please join us for an Author Talk featuring Doug Ammons at the Coeur d'Alene Public Library Community Room at 7:00pm. Missoula author Doug Ammons will discuss his book "A Darkness Lit by Heroes: The Granite Mountain-Speculator Mine Disaster of 1917 Butte, Montana". It tells the dramatic story of the Speculator Mine disaster that happened in Butte, MT one hundred years ago – the largest such disaster in American history. The book won the 2018 High Plains Book Award in creative nonfiction.
